About Me

My story is a long one, but I will try to keep it as short as possible. 

I have always wanted to be an artist ever since I was a kid. My mom always got me those big bulky art kits and we would keep cabinets full of just art supplies. I had a pottery wheel and spin art, and watercolors were a favorite back then. And as I grew older it was always something I was passionate about, but at the time I felt I should pursue something that would be a career, so I thought culinary would be a good choice, and boy did I change my mind. I found myself exhausted to the point where I hated cooking, which is something I love. So I changed my course yet again and pursued accounting. I got my bachelor's degree in Business Accounting and worked in finance for almost 10 years, where I chose to stay home with my son who received an ASD diagnosis. This decision changed my life. After only 3 months of being home, I found out I was going to be expecting our next child. We were nervous but excited to grow our family. Then at 13 weeks we got the news that it was twins, and girls at that! We were over the moon, and even though the nausea got the better of me most days, I was happy for my babies. At 27 weeks exactly, on 9/5/2025, I unfortunately lost both girls during a uterine rupture. Our family was devastated and the grief got me good. During the last year, I found not only who I was at my core, but what I loved to do again, and who I was outside of everything that happened. That's what pushed me to start creating again. Creating art, writing, videography, and photography. I love it all. And out of the tragedy, out popped a butterfly of growth and "Creative Mama Studios" was born.
